Crafting savory memories for your guests
As a Sommelier, Elizabeth loved how even the most humble of foods like meats, cheeses, olives and bread could become magical experiences when paired with the correct wine and the best company. These tasting events reminded her of her most cherished memories growing up in a very large, very loud Greek/American family - where laughter, love, and friendship were accompanied by a bountiful array of new and traditional foods. In the Greek tradition guests are welcomed with the food the host has by chance; leading to a delicious assortment of dishes. These eclectic offerings are called Meze, an appetizer or a light meal with drinks. Seeking to reimagine that tradition in her own home, Elizabeth began building tasting plates that would satisfy the sophisticated & dietary needs of her family. These boards naturally evolved over the years through the addition of family favorites, hand-crafting traditional specialties and experimenting with new flavors. As Elizabeth adapted them for Birthdays, Holidays and the everyday, guests requested boards for their own gatherings, and so Meze Table was born.
